A former Auditor for the Romanian National Court of Audit, I moved to Switzerland in 2003 as a trailing spouse. After brushing off my French, I rapidly realized that it was only one of the many barriers to joining the Swiss job market. I did not know the market and I was often advised to build a network if I wanted to find a job. It was a good advice but, how to do that?  Starting a (new) career is a laborious act, that requires introspection and strategic thinking.

Through my different work experiences with women’ associations, I learnt about the challenges women face on the Swiss job market, and after five years in the management of a company specializing in career counseling, I gained further insight into the specific challenges that make it difficult for women to access the job market and to progress their careers in Switzerland.

Gender stereotyping in career aspirations is at the roots of the horizontal segregation in this country. Aware of that situation, in 2018, I founded MOD-ELLE, an association whose mission is to tackle gender stereotyping in career aspirations and choices for young people.

My work mentoring Masters’ students of the University of Geneva since 2012 has shed light into the specific challenges graduates, particularly women, face.

In 2022, I was nominated among the 100 most influential personalities in French-speaking Switzerland within the "Forum des 100". My wish is to advance women careers in Switzerland and put all my experience and expertise to work to the benefit of women looking to navigate the job market.
